I have been obsessed with Dua Lipa ever since I heard her song “New Rules”. The song is all about girl power and protecting one another from making mistakes in relationships. It’s catchy tone mixed with her beautiful deep toned voice will be stuck in your head for days on end.

Yes, Dua Lipa is her real name. She was born in the United Kingdom and is currently twenty-two years old. While Lipa was working in a restaurant she was also recording songs in the studio and publishing her music on social media. She has always wanted to be a pop singer and never had a plan B if it didn't work out.

She once said, “I always told myself never to have a plan B - I feel like that's also one of the reasons I'm doing what I'm doing now, because I have never thought about doing anything else.” Though her debut album ¨Dua Lipa¨ came out only on June 2nd of this year, she has already been on billboard Top 25 and will continuing climbing.

“This whole album is me, who I am and how I want to be seen as an artist,” says Dua Lipa. “I want people to really get to know me, so the album is everything that has happened in my life so far, and every song tells a different story.”

Dua Lipa is exactly what women and young girls should be listening to as her songs are made to inspire self love and girl power!
