Ms. Asto Knows the Calculations for Success!

Ms. Asto a new teacher at Cliffside park high school. She teaches Geometry and Algebra two honors. Ms. Asto graduated from CPHS then got her degree in teaching at Montclair State University. Before she started teaching here, she had experience at Elizabeth High School.

When asked what teacher inspired her approach to teaching, she said, without hesitation, Mr. Rubnich. “I knew in eighth grade that I wanted to teach math, but when I took his class I said, ‘I want to teach math like that!’” She believes that Mr. Rubnich’s ability to explain the steps and processes of Algebra and other courses.

I asked her about the students here, she said that they are outspoken and funny. She notices that there is a lot of athletes here, especially soccer players.

I'm one of her students and she is super nice, her way of teaching is very easy to understand, she treats all of her students nicely. Her energy for teaching and knowing more about the students is awesome. I talked to some of her students and they are liking her way of teaching. I would like to welcome Ms. Asto to our school and say you are a great teacher.
