CPHS Makes New(s) Production With Class!
As I am sure most, if not all, of our parents watch the daily news or receive news notifications. The events of our world, community and society keep us updated on what is going on, whether it be on News 12, ABCNY, or Good Morning America. There is always news to be reported even at our very own Cliffside Park High School.
Did you ever wonder what exactly goes on in our school? The brand new, Video Production Class, taught by Mr Aiello, is working hard to bring you all Cliffside Park High School's very first, news broadcast. The broadcast highlights important issues and informs our student body and staff on events at our school.
You might have noticed a few students walking around school with cameras trying to catch valuable footage whether it is at a pep rally or just around the halls. Mr. Aiello, who previously worked in news production in 2009 with the New York Jets, said that the class was fairly new and open to upperclassmen. He highlighted that the key motive was that the students who were in the class wanted to be there and be the news anchors for this project.
The class focuses on shedding light onto all aspects of school life from paying dues to capturing the school spirit of the students at pep rallies. Although the class has only 10 students, Mr Aiello is excited for what is to come. The Video News Production team is a fresh opportunity for our students to not only be informed, but really connect with issues in their school environment, or out in their daily lives.
Using technology to their advantage, the CPHS News Team, has now released its first episode, showcasing the highlights of the Pep Rally, interviews with new staff members, current trending topics, and our general school news.
You can find them in the Mac Lab room on the first floor editing, writing and filming just as any news room would! Touch base with our new anchors and let them know what you think of the first broadcast!
