Interview with President Ramos

How does it feel to finally be student body president? - I am extremely excited to finally be the Student Council President. I have a lot to bring to the table and can’t wait to do what’s best for the students. In the past we have had “typical politicians” win elections. They promise many things, but deliver on few.

Your first coordinated event of the school year was the pep rally. How do you think it went? -I was elated with the outcome of the Fall Pep Rally! I received all positive feedback from students and faculty members. One faculty member went as far as saying, “That was one of the best pep rallies ever. And I have been here for over 15 years.”

Can you tell us about any events that we can look forward to throughout the year?

-I plan on hosting a homecoming off site and depending on how that goes, I want to propose and get other events approved. Are there any changes you are looking to make in the school? -There are many changes I would like to make and implement, but I can only do that with the support of the students, faculty, and administration. I want to bring homecoming, fun events, and many other things to the school.

What are your goals as president? - I only have one goal as President and that is to make the 2018-2019 school year the most enjoyable for every student no matter what grade they are in. I want people to remember this year as the highlight of their scholastic career for years to come.

What challenges do you think you think you will face trying to achieve these goals?

-As President this year I face a few challenges. My term started late so I am behind a few months. I have to make up for all that lost time and work very hard for the students of the school. And as I have previously mentioned, my success depends on the support I received from the students, faculty, and administration.
