Superbowl LII
On February 3rd, the Patriots snuck past the Rams 13-3 in the lowest scoring Super Bowl of all time.
This past Sunday, the Patriots were able to make history after their victory over the Rams. The New England football team earned their sixth Super Bowl victory, tying the Steelers for most Super Bowl wins of all time. Tom Brady won his sixth ring, which only adds to his unique and illustrious career.
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman took the Super Bowl MVP award after the Patriots’ victory. His 10 receptions and 141 receiving yards aided his team as they rallied in a tough defensive style game. Sony Michel scored the only touchdown of the game after his first and only rush in the red zone, while also reaching 94 rushing yards for 18 carries.
The Rams struggled to score points all night long due to a lackluster offensive performance. Jared Goff’s first Super Bowl appearance was subpar and unfulfilling, which was not a surprise due to the 16 year difference in experience between him and Tom Brady. Rams running back Todd Gurley was also absent for most of the game, rushing for only 35 yards in 10 carries.
Even though the score may be the lowest a Super Bowl has ever had, it cannot take away the efforts from both sides. Both teams worked their hardest all game long and showed off a stellar defensive performance to the very end.
