2019 Fashion Trends

Walking down the halls of CPHS, you may notice that there are numerous different fashion trends. From tube tops to jean jackets, fashion choices have changed drastically over the last decade. With diversity roaming through the halls, people have different preferences when it comes to what to wear. While there are people who show up to school in sweatpants and t-shirts everyday, there are others who prefer to wear clothes that are more flamboyant.

When entering any classroom in Cliffside Park High School, a person is exposed to many different fashion choices. The biggest fashion trends now are a combination of comfort and style. For example, many students prefer to wear sweats or leggings, but they like to add a little spice to their outfits with fashionable tops such as tube tops or off-the-shoulder shirts. Off-the-shoulder shirts are a big fashion trend now, with everyone pairing these beautiful shirts with stylish jeans, sweats, or leggings.

Maxi dresses are also a fashion hit now. These dresses are elegant, cute, classy, and not against the dress code, so it is a win-win. However, everyone seems to be spicing up their outfits by wearing jean jackets. They go with everything, except denim of course. Like fashion icons say, you can’t have denim on denim. Overall, jean jackets really are life savers. Whether you are wearing a dress or just a simple T-shirt, jean jackets add a bit of flare to an outfit, giving it more pizazz.

For the men, scarves and denim jackets are mostly in right now. Just add a leather or denim jacket, pair it with a scarf, and you are good to go. Through all these new fashion choices, the biggest trend seems to be wearing flashy colors, like yellow and green. These colors make a person’s features pop out, making them more appealing to another person’s eye. For men and women alike, wearing bright colors seem to be a huge hit that everyone is going crazy over!
