Interview with Ms. Cibelli, Girls Soccer Coach
September has now arrived and it is filled with excitement for a new school year and most importantly, new teachers! Put your hands together for a big round of applause to our new CPHS girls soccer coach, Ms.Cibelli!
Ms. Cibelli not only coaches the Girl’s Soccer team, but she is the Chemistry Honors teacher as well. Since her greatest passions are chemistry and soccer, she is exhilarated that she is able to teach both in one building!
Growing up, Ms. Cibelli had a great passion for soccer and loved playing on her school team. Her love for soccer did not stop there, as she went on to play soccer after high school and now has the title of head coach. This achievement is making her dream as being a professional soccer coach just a few steps away! Ms. Cibelli stated, “I wanted to bring the excitement and the joy that I get from playing and pass the knowledge and experience to others.” Not only does she love the rush and excitement of the game, but she loves teaching and spreading that exhilaration to a new generation of girls.
There are currently 35 girls on the soccer team, who are in good hands when it comes to Ms. Cibelli. They train hard to increase their stamina and endurance through exercise and short sprints, to make sure that they are in the best physical condition to play.
Ms. Cibelli has created a great atmosphere in the program with the help of a positive attitude and support for the girls. Having her girls play and love the sport is not her only goal, as Ms. Cibelli’s vision for the future is to have the girls soccer team get to the county and state level so that they can compete at a higher level when they win championships again.
Even though we are only two weeks into the school year, it is safe to say that Ms. Cibelli has made the students even more passionate and electrified for the upcoming season and school year!
