Epstein Questions
Over the course of the summer, Jeffrey Epstein quickly went from being depicted as one of the most notorious sexual predators to having one of the most mysterious deaths in recent political history.
In simple terms, Epstein was a Wall Street financier. He was a multimillionaire who enjoyed all the extravagances that come with such privilege. Epstein also notably had power over the media and his peers. He was closely associated with well known politicians such as Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and even Queen Elizabeth’s son, Prince Andrew.
Epstein was also well known among his peers for his taste in women, specifically young women. He was notorious for having young women in his company. However, his reputation got the better of him when in 2008 he was arrested for sexually exploiting and soliciting services from minors. Although these charges are enough to destroy a typical man’s career, Epstein proved to be no typical man. Using his multimillionaire influence, he was able to minimize the coverage on his arrest. As a result, Epstein walked away from these charges with 13 months in prison. However, this short time proved not enough when in July 8 2019, Epstein was once again arrested for similar charges involving minors.
While awaiting trial for these charges, Epstein died of an “apparent suicide” on August 10. The circumstances surrounding his death make the case much more complicated than meets the eye. For example, the security cameras surrounding his jail cell ceased to work, there were no prison guards watching, and his cellmate was present as he usually would be.
Since Epstein was known for being surrounded by influential people, the unusual circumstances surrounding his death have led many to believe he may not have killed himself, but was rather killed. According to the autopsy report, Epstein also suffered injuries that correlate with asphyxiation, not necessarily solely from hanging. This means that his injuries are consistent with that of strangulation.
Since Epstein also did have media control, not much can be known as to how deep his peers were involved in his criminality. Nevertheless, Epstein’s unusual death coincided with the suspicious people he entertained builds the controversy surrounding his death. The question remains as to whether there is a truth waiting to be uncovered.
