CPHS Wrestling: An Interview with Mr. O'Hanlon

Question 1: Who are your captains?

Coach O’Hanlon: Our captains are Jacob, Branden, Sean, Andre, Kenny, Jian, and Isaac.

Question 2: Who are your returning varsity wrestlers?

Coach O’Hanlon: The returning varsity wrestlers are Jacob, Branden, Sean, Andre, Kenny, Jian, and Isaac.

Question 3: What makes a good leader for your team?

Coach O’Hanlon: What makes a good leader for the team is being a good example on and off the mat.

Question 4: What makes your sport unique?

Coach O’Hanlon: Everything about wrestling is unique. Wrestling is not like any other high school sport.

Question 5: What are you and the team working on in practices?

Coach O’Hanlon: The team is just working on getting better every practice in preparation for our first tournament on December 21st.

Question 6: What expectations do you have for your players?

Coach O’Hanlon: The expectations I have for the players are for them to work hard every day, and be positive members of the school community.

Question 7: When are your home matches this season?

Coach O’Hanlon: There are 7 home events this season. We have 6 home matches on Wednesday nights in January and February. The dates are 1/8, 1/15 (Fort Lee), 1/22, 1/29, 2/5 and 2/12. We also have a special home event on Saturday, February 1st. We are dedicating this event to CPHS Alum and former wrestler, Matthew Joskowitz, who tragically passed away at the end of October.
