Easy Recipes You Can Make With Ingredients You Can Find at Home


As the country remains in quarantine, it can be difficult to find something entertaining to do with all this spare time. One thing I like to do is make food. It satisfies my hunger and my boredom at the same time. Listed below are a few easy recipes that you can make at home with few ingredients that most people already have lying around. Many of these recipes are quick to make, and all the recipes listed are not too difficult to follow.


Banana Bread

This easy banana bread recipe is a favorite in my house and only requires a handful of ingredients that you likely have on hand!

Ingredients:

  • Three ripe bananas

  • One egg

  • One cup of white sugar

  • One fourth cup of melted butter

  • One and a half cups of all purpose flour

  • One teaspoon of baking soda

  • One teaspoon of salt

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees

  • Combine chopped bananas, sugar, egg, and butter together in a bowl

  • Mix flour and baking soda together in a separate bowl, and stir into the banana mixture thoroughly

  • Pour the batter into a buttered loaf pan

  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean, which should take about an hour

Whipped Coffee

This super quick fluffy coffee recipe has been trending on TikTok for a while. It is a Greek recipe, originally called Dalgona Coffee. It only requires four ingredients, and is an amazing partner to the banana bread mentioned above!

Ingredients:

  • Two tablespoons of instant coffee

  • Two tablespoons of hot water

  • Two tablespoons of granulated sugar

  • Half a cup of milk

Directions:

  • Mix together instant coffee, sugar, and hot water in a bowl

  • Beat the mixture on high speed with an electric mixer or a whisk until the mixture turns into a caramel-like color, and is smooth and creamy (about 5-7 minutes)

  • Pour the half cup of milk into a cup and dollop the whipped coffee on top

Mac & Cheese

This super easy mac & cheese tastes amazing, and the best part about this recipe is it only requires 3 ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • Five cups of milk

  • One box of pasta

  • Two cups of shredded cheddar cheese, or any cheese you like!

Directions:

  • In a large pot, bring the milk to a boil

  • Add the pasta and stir often until the pasta is cooked (about ten minutes)

  • Turn off the heat, and add the cheese

  • Stir until the cheese is melted and the pasta is evenly coated
