Colombian Immigration

Migration to Colombia is one of the most spoken about issues by Colombians. Many people speak about how Colombians migrated to foreign countries for different purposes, but oftentimes, drugs were what made Colombia more noticeable. With the importation of drugs, the measure taken by the foreign countries was to seize Colombians and immigrate their belongings even if they had nothing. It was rumored that they also had drugs. In some years Colombia became one of the countries that distributed the most drugs. However, many people think that because you are Colombian you are a thief and you sell drugs or do something wrong. But the reality is that even when they discriminate against them because of what happened, they forget about the good things about Colombia. America should stop revealing the bad and hiding the good. Instead we could focus on the goods, such as coffee, gold, oil, and most importantly, culture, and food. Throughout the years, Colombian food has been influenced by the entire world.

The next time someone tells you that they are from Colombia, do not think about the bad, think about the good things that they have. Many people think that immigrants come to do something bad, but what they don't know is that in our countries the working age is very important. In Colombia, older people have to look for a job. Oftentimes they don't give you the job because of your age. The reason many people immigrate is for education and job opportunities. Education in many countries is not the best, so we try to help each other to a better future.
