Everything You Need to Know About the 21 Events for the Class of 2021
Chiara Espinal
While the graduating Class of 2021 may not have enjoyed many of the senior year experiences we anticipated, senior class advisors and faculty members are working hard to change that as we round out the final months of our senior year. Seniors can expect to see several events in the coming months meant to remedy the isolation students have felt since the beginning of the pandemic last March.
The event rollout process is already underway, and seniors have Mr. Pinto to thank for the idea of 21 Events for the Class of 2021. So far, seniors were already able to enjoy snow tubing at the Campgaw Mountain Ski Area earlier this month. Senior class advisors, Mrs. Romano and Mrs. Petermann, have several other exciting events in store as we conclude the school year. Students are strongly encouraged to keep up with their emails in the coming weeks, which is where you will be able to find an official “21 Events For the Class of 2021 Calendar." Seniors should also join the Class of 2021 class on Google Classroom, where you will receive updates regarding events and other important information.
Those who attended the senior class meeting on Friday, March 11th know that while many of the event dates posted are tentative and subject to change as CDC guidelines evolve, Mrs. Romano and Mrs. Petermann plan to do everything in their power to safely hold each event as promised. As always, students are expected to follow Covid-19 precautions, such as maintaining six feet of social distancing wherever possible and wearing face coverings. It is also important for students to remember that pricing varies for each event, and students are expected to provide their own transportation to and from events.
As for prom, we are currently scheduled for prom on Thursday, June 10th. At this point, all seniors should have filled out the google form sent out via email by Mrs. Petermann titled “Prom Questionnaire." Our graduation is scheduled for Monday, June 21st. Additional information will be made available as we edge closer to each event.
Students are expected to behave properly at all times at each event, as well as follow the rules and regulations put in place by each establishment. Our class advisors are open to any questions or suggestions for events that you may have. As a reminder to all seniors: pay your class dues by cash, check, or money order made out to the Class of 2021, and participate in fundraisers. Despite our unprecedented circumstances, seniors should be looking forward to an enjoyable end to our high school journey!
