Junior Varsity 2022 Softball Season

The 2022 Softball season has just begun! To talk about this season, I got to talk to Ms. Shaw about some of the difficulties and obstacles that the team has to confront in order to thrive.
The JV Softball team started their season not as they wanted to. Though as the season has gone on, they became strong and became one. As their returning star players Billie Blanco, Frances Abano, Jaydn Isikliyol, Julianna Oriente, and Rebecca Gomez return for another season, they prepare themselves for the trials that lie ahead of them.
While the softball team is working on their hitting and racing the bases at practice, their captains Jaydn Isikliyol, Rebecca Gomez, and Julianna Oriente support their teammates from afar. The captains show the team the most unique things about softball, and show the team how a sport can change someone's life. Most of the time, it changes someone and helps them become the person they want to be. “What makes a good leader in the team is having someone who picks up their teammate when they are down. Someone who’s there for their team whenever they need them,” said their coach, Ms. Shaw.
As the softball team worked hard preparing for this season, they became a family. This unique sport is making the players want to become better. After a few games, they were all improving slowly and have been growing since. They all are having fun while trying their best. Each and every day, they end up with a smile on their face. Where will they rank in this season? “They all will rank No.1 to my heart,” said Coach Shaw.
